Rudra Academy of Performing Arts is an institution committed to the systematic study, preservation, transmission, and promotion of India's classical and traditional arts. The Academy provides structured education and training in Indian classical dance, classical vocal music, instrumental music, percussion, and fine arts. Academic Philosophy
The Academy believes that meaningful education in the arts extends beyond the acquisition of performance skills. It involves an understanding of tradition, aesthetics, theory, discipline, history, cultural context, and individual artistic expression.
Accordingly, the Academy follows a holistic approach in which practical training is complemented by theoretical learning, observation, performance, research, and continuous evaluation. Students are encouraged to develop both proficiency in their chosen discipline and a deeper intellectual and cultural engagement with the arts.
Areas of Study
Classical Dance
Structured training in Indian classical dance traditions, with emphasis on technique, repertoire, rhythm, expression, theory, and performance practice.
Classical Music
Comprehensive instruction in vocal traditions, incorporating fundamental concepts of raga, tala, musical aesthetics, repertoire, and performance.
Instrumental Music
Training in selected Indian and Western instruments, with progressive development of technique, musical understanding, rhythm, and performance skills.
Percussion
Systematic study of rhythm and percussion traditions, including rhythmic structures, accompaniment, technique, and performance practice.
Fine Arts
Education in visual art practices with emphasis on drawing, painting, composition, aesthetics, observation, and creative expression.

Founder & Artistic DirectorRenuka C K is the visionary Founder and Artistic Director behind Rudra Academy of Performing Arts. Guided by an enduring passion for preserving and propagating India's rich classical dance and music traditions, she has built Rudra Academy into a premier institute for authentic artistic learning, university-aligned degree programs, and stage excellence.
Under her inspiring leadership, Rudra Academy has nurtured thousands of aspiring artists, organized landmark cultural festivals, and established esteemed academic affiliations with Hampi University (for UG & PG Degrees), Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University (for Certificate & Diploma courses), Bangiya Sangeeth Parishad (for Grading & Diploma programs).
